Introduce an official way to track physical games (cartridges, discs, boxed PC titles, collector’s editions, etc.) alongside digital/emulated games in LaunchBox. This would give collectors a single, unified view of their entire library, digital or physical.
New Physical Collection Toggle
Mark a game as “Physical” in the Edit Game window.
Option to track both “Digital” and “Physical” versions of the same title.
Collection Metadata Fields
Condition (New, Like New, Good, Fair, Poor).
Completeness (Box, Manual, Inserts, Cartridge/Disc).
Region / Variant (Greatest Hits, Limited Run, Collector’s Edition, etc.).
Purchase Details (Date, Store, Price, Current Value).
Location (Shelf, Box, Storage bin, Room).
Media Support
Upload photos of your physical box, disc, or cartridge.
Link to inventory spreadsheets or receipts.
Views & Filters
Separate “Physical Collection” tab in LaunchBox/Big Box.

Stats dashboard for number of physical games owned, total estimated value, etc.
A user imports their NES ROMs but also wants to track the actual cartridges on their shelf. They mark which games they physically own, note if the box/manual is included, and add a photo of their boxed copy of Zelda II.
Another user collects Limited Run PS4 titles. They enter purchase price and condition, and LaunchBox shows total collection value.
Provides LaunchBox users with a central hub for all games, digital or physical.
Adds value for collectors by tracking condition, value, and completeness.
Makes it easier to manage large collections without relying on external apps/spreadsheets.
Enhances Big Box presentation by showcasing your physical library as part of your gaming setup.
