Separate Personal and Community Star Rating Filters

šŸ“‹ Summary

Add separate filters for personal and community star ratings.

ā— Problem

The current Star Rating filter may use community ratings when a game has no personal rating. This makes it difficult to find games the user has not rated themselves.

Users can disable community ratings for filtering in the settings, but cannot conveniently access both rating types as separate filters.

šŸ’” Proposal

Replace the combined Star Rating filter with two clearly labeled options:

  • Your Star Rating — filters by the user’s personal rating

  • Community Star Rating — filters by the aggregated community rating

The personal rating filter should include Not Rated, allowing users to quickly find games they have not rated yet.

🧩 Use Cases

  • Find every game that has not received a personal rating

  • Browse games according to personal preferences

  • Compare personal ratings with community opinion

  • More easily contribute personal ratings to the community database

šŸ“¦ Benefits

  • Makes the distinction between rating types clearer

  • Removes the need to change a global setting

  • Makes personally unrated games easier to find

  • Provides more flexible filtering and organization

āš ļø Considerations

The existing Star Rating filter and saved filters should be migrated without unexpectedly changing their results.
