Separate “Remove from Playlist” from “Delete from Library”
📋 Summary
Currently, removing a game from a playlist requires going through the Edit > Delete dialog, which also prompts the user to confirm deletion from their entire library. This creates unnecessary friction and the potential for accidental game removal.
🎯 Feature Overview
Introduce a clear separation between:
Removing a game from a playlist only
Deleting a game from the entire LaunchBox library
This could be implemented as a right-click option (e.g. “Remove from Playlist”) or as part of the playlist management UI.
🛠 Use Case
A user wants to clean up a playlist of completed games but retain the games in their main library. The current flow makes it too easy to accidentally delete the game entirely.
📦 Benefits
Prevents accidental deletion of games from the collection
Improves clarity and safety in playlist management
Reduces unnecessary confirmation steps for simple actions

I absolutely upvote this!! It is absolutely annoying accidently deleting the full game from a playlist. There is no need! One can just go to platform list, which is the main area people operate to add or delete games from their library, to full delete if needed. No one wants to full delete a game from LB after playing it from their playlist. Would be saver and help prevent unwanted/accidental deletes!

Good suggestion, exactly as you say: this creates unnecessary friction and the potential for accidental game removal.
Personally, the most intuitive solution for me in addition to your suggestion would be to set the default behaviour to deleting from playlist only, with a confirmation message like “The game has successfully been removed from your playlist. It’s still in your library and possibly in other playlists.” when pressing the ‘delete’ key on my keyboard (which is what I mostly use for these kinds of actions).
I think the ratio is simple: if you want to remove a game from your library, you’re simply in the wrong place.
