Previously, users relied on the PlayTime Tracker plugin (forum link) to track and manually edit playtime. However, since LaunchBox 13.19, the plugin no longer integrates with the right-click menu, making it less accessible.
For users who play across multiple platforms (e.g., Steam Deck, consoles, cloud gaming) or encounter tracking issues, a native function to manually edit playtime is crucial.
Introduce a built-in playtime editor that allows users to adjust their recorded playtime directly within LaunchBox.
1. Right-Click Menu Integration:
Add a new “Edit Playtime” option when right-clicking a game in LaunchBox.
Clicking this option opens a dialog box where users can modify total playtime.
2. Playtime Adjustment Methods:
Manual Entry: Users can enter a total playtime (hours/minutes).
Increment/Decrement: Buttons to add or subtract time from the current total.
3. Playtime Edit History (Optional):
A log of changes to track adjustments.
Option to add a note (e.g., “Added 5 hours from Steam Deck session”).
4. Bulk Editing (Optional):
Ability to select multiple games and adjust playtime in one action.
✅ Restores Functionality – Replaces lost functionality from PlayTime Tracker.
✅ Better Accuracy – Users can correct errors and track playtime across multiple devices.
✅ Improves User Experience – No need for external plugins or workarounds.
