Add Video Seek Controls

📋 Summary

Add seek functionality to game preview videos in LaunchBox and Big Box. Users should be able to scrub, skip forward, and rewind—both in the fullscreen viewer and (optionally) within the Game Details pane.

🎯 Feature Overview

  • Add a seek bar with draggable scrubber.

  • Include jump controls (e.g., ±5s / ±10s).

  • Support keyboard/controller inputs for seeking (e.g., left/right to nudge).

  • Implement in:

    • Fullscreen video viewer (primary).

    • Game Details pane (optional, compact UI that appears on hover/focus).

🛠 Example Use Case

  • A user opens a 5-minute gameplay snap and wants to skip the intro to see combat. They scrub to 1:15 instead of waiting or rewatching from the start.

📦 Benefits

  • Faster content previewing and decision-making.

  • Better usability for long-form clips and theme videos.

  • Aligns with user expectations from modern media viewers.

💡 Notes

  • Consider an auto-hide control overlay to preserve aesthetics.

  • Ensure controller-first UX in Big Box (bumpers/triggers to seek).

    Hi there,

With today’s release of LaunchBox for Windows 13.27, this feature has now been implemented. Game Details videos are easier to control with new in-app video playback controls for a smoother viewing experience without leaving LaunchBox.

You can update to the latest version from within the app to receive this.
