Streamline Theme Management in Big Box System Menu

šŸ“‹ Summary

Unify the Manage Themes, Manage Startup Themes, and Manage Pause Themes entries in Big Box’s system menu into a single, consolidated Theme Management Hub. This simplifies navigation and reduces menu clutter while maintaining access to all existing theme functions.

šŸŽÆ Feature Overview

  • Replace the three separate entries with one main option: ā€œManage Themesā€.

  • Inside this unified menu, add tabs or sub-sections for:

    • šŸŽØ Main Themes

    • šŸš€ Startup Themes

    • āøļø Pause Themes

  • Retain all existing filtering options such as ā€œInstalled - All,ā€ ā€œInstalled - With Updates,ā€ and ā€œAvailable - Most Popular.ā€

  • Optionally include a global Search Bar or Filter by Type dropdown for faster navigation between categories.

šŸ›  Example Use Case

A user wants to switch from their main Big Box theme to another and then check for updates on their startup theme.

  • Current flow: Exit one menu, re-enter another (3+ steps).

  • Proposed flow: Access everything from one unified ā€œManage Themesā€ screen (1 step).

šŸ“¦ Benefits

  • 🧩 Simplifies the system menu by merging three related features.

  • ⚔ Reduces clicks and improves user flow when customizing Big Box.

  • 🧠 More intuitive organization—users can easily manage all theme types from one place.

  • šŸŽ® Improves controller navigation and readability in fullscreen mode.

šŸ’” Notes

  • Could include a small icon or color-coded label for each theme type (Main, Startup, Pause).

  • Lays groundwork for future theme-related improvements (e.g., unified updates, batch installs).

Feature Request: Streamline Theme Management in BigBox System Menu

    Current Behavior

In the BigBox System Menu View, there are currently three separate entries for managing themes:

    • Manage Themes

    • Manage Startup Themes

    • Manage Pause Themes

When selecting any of these, the user is taken to a view like the ones in the attached screenshots:

    • Main Themes (Themes)

    • Startup Themes

    • Pause Themes

Each of these has its own sub-menu with filters such as Installed - All, Installed - With Updates, Available - Most Popular, etc.

    Problem / Usability Issue

The current structure spreads theme management across three different entries in the System Menu. This makes navigation less intuitive and adds unnecessary steps when switching between main, startup, and pause theme management.
