Exophase Achievement Integration for Multi-Platform Progress Tracking

šŸ“‹ Summary

Add optional integration that allows LaunchBox to pull achievement and progression data from Exophase, enabling unified tracking for platforms that LaunchBox cannot currently read (PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Google Play/Game Center, Epic, Ubisoft, etc.).

This would let users view cross-platform progress directly inside LaunchBox and Big Box, similar to how RetroAchievements data is currently surfaced.

šŸŽÆ Feature Overview

šŸ”— Profile Linking

  • Add a field in LaunchBox Options for users to enter their Exophase username or profile URL.

  • LaunchBox uses this to retrieve the user’s achievement stats across supported platforms.

šŸŽ® Per-Game Exophase Mapping

  • LaunchBox Games Database should support storing an Exophase game ID (like how Steam URLs are stored).

  • Game Details pane shows an Exophase icon if a match exists.

  • Clicking opens the game’s Exophase page in a browser.

šŸ“Š Pulling Achievement Data Into LaunchBox

If Exophase exposes an API or a supported data endpoint, LaunchBox could retrieve:

  • Total achievements vs unlocked

  • Completion percentage

  • Last played date

  • Earned achievement list (read-only)

  • Multi-platform breakdown (PSN/Xbox/Steam/etc if available)

This would be display-only, not write-back.

Example UI placement:

  • A new ā€œExophase Progressā€ block in Game Details

  • Optional overlay badge indicating % completion

  • Theme hooks for Big Box to display achievement stats

šŸ›  Example Use Case

A user plays Final Fantasy XV on PlayStation and Xbox over several years. LaunchBox can’t naturally access console achievement data.

With Exophase integration:

  1. User opens Final Fantasy XV in LaunchBox.

  2. The Game Details panel displays:

    • 62% completion

    • 37 of 59 achievements unlocked

    • Last achievement unlocked

  3. They click the Exophase icon to open the full breakdown on the website.

LaunchBox becomes a true central hub for tracking multi-platform completion.

šŸ“¦ Benefits

šŸŽÆ True Unified Achievement Hub

LaunchBox + RetroAchievements + Exophase = coverage of almost every major platform.

🧭 No Manual Searching

Direct 1-click access to each game’s Exophase page.

šŸ“ˆ Richer Game Details

Users can instantly see console and PC progress in their library.

šŸ¤ Complements Existing Systems

Does not replace RetroAchievements — it fills the gap for platforms RA does not cover.

šŸ’” Notes

  • Initial phase can be link-only, requiring Exophase game IDs in the LaunchBox database.

  • Data syncing depends on Exophase providing an accessible API or similar endpoint.

  • All integration is read-only to respect Exophase and platform policies.

    Exophase plugin

Exophase plugin or links to games on the website, exophase is a massive online community of achievement hunters from virtually all platforms with achievements, adding this would allow anyone currently tracking there progress links directly to the community and there progress, I cant see any posts about this feature in the search bar, sorry if anyone has already requested it..
