Add Per-Version Configuration Launch Settings
š Summary
Allow additional apps/versions to define their own configuration application path and configuration command-line parameters.
ā Problem
LaunchBox games can have configuration launch settings, including a configuration application path and configuration command-line parameters.
However, when multiple versions of a game are kept under one entry using additional apps/versions, those versions do not appear to have their own separate configuration launch settings.
This can be limiting when different versions of the same game need different setup or configuration behavior.
š” Proposal
Add optional configuration launch settings to additional apps/versions.
Each version should be able to define its own configuration application path and configuration command-line parameters, while falling back to the main gameās configuration settings when no version-specific values are set.
š§© Use Cases
Configure different versions of the same ScummVM game separately
Use version-specific setup tools or launch options
Keep AGI and SCI versions of a game under one tidy entry
Avoid splitting versions into separate games just to support different configuration behavior
š¦ Benefits
Makes the versions feature more flexible
Improves support for ScummVM and emulator edge cases
Helps users keep cleaner libraries
Reduces duplicate game entries
ā ļø Considerations
The UI should make it clear whether a version is using its own configuration settings or inheriting them from the main game. Existing per-version application command-line parameters should remain unchanged.

Thanks for the request. Additional apps/versions do already support their own application command-line parameters, so your MT-32/ScummVM use case may already be possible through the versionās launch settings.
That said, there does appear to be a related gap: versions do not seem to have their own separate āConfiguration Application Pathā and āConfiguration Command-Line Parametersā like the main game entry does. Iāve adjusted the request to focus on that more specific missing functionality.
Iāve opened it up to the community for further discussion

Enhance custom command line parameters
I love the custom command line parameters feature that each game supports under the emulation configuration option when choosing to edit game metadata. I use this extensively with ScummVM to provide MT-32 support for only the games that support it! Iād like to request that custom command lines be available when using the additional apps/version feature to add individual versions of a game, instead of the game as a whole. This would be incredibly useful where you have a game like Space Quest 1 AGI and SCI, where one version does not support the enhanced sound. I know I could break these out into individual games to get what Iām asking for accomplished, but I love keeping a tidy library by using the version feature too!
