Preset Commands for Pause Menu Actions Per Emulator
š Summary
Introduce preset command options for common pause menu actionsālike save/load state, restart, exit, etc.āwith per-emulator support. This would simplify configuration, particularly for users managing multiple emulators with different command syntaxes.
ā Problem
Currently:
Users must manually define AHK or command-line actions for each emulator.
Thereās no built-in list of known commands tied to each supported emulator.
This makes it tediousāespecially for less technical usersāto set up key features like save states or reset from the pause menu.
Even when using popular emulators (e.g. Dolphin, PCSX2), users need to dig through forums or documentation to find the correct command or script.
š” Proposal
Add a command preset system that:
Auto-populates common emulator-specific commands for pause menu actions (e.g. Save State, Load State, Restart, Exit Game).
Recognizes the selected emulator and suggests appropriate command options.
Works in tandem with the AHK system, but without needing manual script entry.
Bonus features:
A toggle to override with custom commands if desired.
A small library or reference UI listing supported commands per emulator.
Example:
When configuring a game that runs in Dolphin, the Pause Menu setup might offer:
ā Restart Game ā Send {F10}
ā Save State ā Send ^F1
ā Load State ā Send ^F2
ā Benefits
šÆ Greatly reduces setup friction for multi-emulator users
ā±ļø Saves time and avoids error-prone manual entry
š§ Makes LaunchBox more accessible for non-technical users
š§© Allows for easier extension of Pause Menu functionality across platforms

Commands already preset for the pause menu and their options for each emulator
it is very tedious to search for the command that needs to be placed to save states, to restart, etc. Doing it for each emulator is very complicated.
