Audit Tool Enhancements
My suggestions below are focused on the audit tool, which is quite powerful but could use the following updates to assist with large rom-sets that have region duplicates, versions and languages that may not be of interest to the user, and other things that LB could help call out for removal to save space and help folks get to āOne Game One ROMā if so inclined.
Region - Allow for additional region columns in cases where ROMs have more than one region
e.g. āNorth America, Japanā would be broken out into two columns
Version - Allow for additional version columns in cases where ROMs have multiple versions
e.g. (Demo) (Aftermarket) (Unl) would be broken out into three columns
Language - Add a language column(s) for ROMs that indicate language
e.g. - (En,Fr,Es) would be broken out into three columns with English, French, and Spanish
Allow for prioritization and customization for deleting - The duplicate function is super helpful in trying to get to āOne Game One ROMā, but it would be helpful if able to prioritize based on data points, such as āRegion, āVersionā, āStatusā, and the aforementioned āLanguageā column
Example: North America - 1, Europe - 2, Japan - 3 etc - so if a game has multiple copies and North America is one, it will flag the other copies for removal as North America appeared and was prioritized first, and would leave North America out of the āduplicatesā callout.
Example 2: If another game does not have North America, but does have Europe and Japan copies, then the Japan copy would be marked as a duplicate and the Europe copy would be left out ā as the tool went through the region prioritization, saw no North America, and went down the list and said āOK Europe is here so this is the one we want to keepā
Example 3: allow for the prioritization to also include other data points, such as āVersionā, āStatusā, and the aforementioned āLanguageā column - so that way things like Betas, Protos, and languages we donāt want can be filtered out
Allow for the ability to move ROMs to a separate folder
E.G. ROMs identified in the audit function as duplicates, perhaps Iād want to move them to a duplicate folder for further scrutiny before deleting them, or just to get them out of the LB folders entirely
