Allow more video types for platforms
This ticket is to add additional video types for Platforms that could be prioritized globally from a user’s perspective.
Currently, Platforms currently have the ability to have: Theme Video type
Proposed change would add:

If you can, list all platform types you would like to see.
Also note this is not limited to platforms, there is also Category and Playlist videos. Which video types would you include for these?

The main additional platform video type would be the “advert” video. Great for nostalgia! I’ll add any more if I think of them.
Since categories and playlists are often used as substitute platforms, it would be good if this feature extended to those also.

Can you see it being problematic to try and attach advertisement videos to a category and/or playlist?
I’ll move this forward to open to community for people to vote on it and adjust ticket to reflect the specifics on what people would be voting on.

Thanks. It would be an option, so users wouldn’t have to attach them to categories or playlists. However, it would be useful to be able to do so. For example, you might have your main “Arcade” platform, and also a “Konami Handheld” playlist within that - you could then attach the advert for that Konami “platform”, even though in Launchbox it’s displayed as a playlist.

Apologies, I accidentally submitted this request before finishing typing it, and I can see no way to edit it; so I’ll finish it here.
Currently, for games there are 5 video types - recording, theme video, trailer, video snap and marquee.
For platforms however, there is only 1 video type. It would be great to have more video types for platforms; for example, theme, advert, etc.
