RetroAchievements Playtime Stats Integration
š Summary
Integrate Playtime Stats from RetroAchievements into LaunchBox and Big Box, allowing users to view average completion times and play durations reported by the RetroAchievements communityāsimilar to features provided by HowLongToBeat (HLTB).
šÆ Feature Overview
RetroAchievements recently introduced a Playtime Stats section for each game, showing:
š Average playtime to finish the main game.
š Average time to master all achievements.
š Community-based playtime data gathered from real players.
LaunchBox could display this information:
In the Game Details Pane (e.g., under the RetroAchievements badge).
Within Big Box under a gameās stats or overview section.
Optional enhancement: include this data in filters and sorting options (e.g., āGames under 5 hours,ā āLongest average playtimeā).
š Example Use Case
A player browsing their NES library wants to find short games to complete in one sitting.
LaunchBox displays RetroAchievementsā āAverage Playtimeā under each gameās details, helping them choose quickly.
š¦ Benefits
ā³ Provides gameplay length insights directly in LaunchBox and Big Box.
š® Helps players prioritize shorter or longer games for their mood or time available.
š Strengthens LaunchBoxās existing RetroAchievements integration.
š” A solid alternative to HowLongToBeat integration, using already linked RetroAchievements data.

Great write up. Thanks for enhancing. Btw, I accidentally placed this under the Games DB board. It should be under the Windows board, but I couldnāt change it. Would you be able to move it?
