Add “Release Type” Filter
📋 Summary
Add a new Release Type filter to LaunchBox’s filter options, allowing users to easily narrow their libraries or playlists by release classification — such as Official Release, Prototype, Homebrew, Unlicensed, or Beta.
🎯 Feature Overview
Introduce a Release Type filter under the Quick Filter menu
Allow multi-select functionality (e.g., view Released and Homebrew together).
Fully integrated into both LaunchBox and Big Box views.
Compatible with sorting, saved filters, and playlist creation.
🛠 Example Use Case
A collector wants to browse only Prototypes and Betas to explore unreleased or early versions of games.
A preservationist wants to exclude Unlicensed or Homebrew titles when viewing official collections.
📦 Benefits
Makes it easier to curate and browse large, mixed libraries.
Improves visibility of rare or unreleased titles for collectors and historians.
Provides parity with metadata fields already available in the LaunchBox Games Database.
💡 Notes
The Release Type field already exists in the metadata model, so this feature would primarily require exposing it in the filter system and adding UI support for it.

Would be really great to see this, and any other metadata additions to the filter list. Makes finding things, organizing, and spotting errors much easier

I would like this too, but more so to filter official or retail releases from aftermarket or homebrew. Also cart or disc from digital, like Nintendo Shop, Wii Shop, DSi Shop, Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network, etc.
